Artist's Comments

I thought I'd finally get around to changing my desktop screenshot thing.

I really try not to make it a habit to post desktop screen shots here, because I've noticed that it's the only thing a lot of people here do, and that's just not cool, imo.

Also, Maleficent is bad ass, and I love dragons, so combining the two was one of the best things Disney had ever done(though this movie was made loooong before my birth).

My screen resolution is 1440x900. Yeah...my laptop is a fatty and really needs to lay off of the damn donuts.

I obviously got the picture from Disney.com. They watermark everything like there's no tomorrow...but they have good reason to.

The watermark is what makes it mythical! :o

Man, this was a classic. I mean, it had such a great ending. A character of irredeemable evil, transforming into a fierce, violent shape, attempting to demoralize and destroy the hero as he come to the rescue of the maiden. The plot is resolved through actual combat with evil, not some tacky "everybody lives" ending. The prince proves he's not just some pretty face. I like this, very classical storybook ending.

This movie was classic fairytale end. The prince slays the dragon to get his princess, and I honestly find it to be incredibly awesome.
I'm not a big fan of the "everybody lives" ending. Every time I watch The Little Mermaid, I love watching Ursula get stabbed by the ship mast because it reminds me that Disney used to actually kill their villains.

YES!! Fairy tales used to be so hardcore! There used to be real lessons learned from them too. Actual deaths made the impact more realistic. Now it's all about marketing... geez...

Wow. You've really got a mind for this sort of stuff. You're awesome ^_^

Thanks ^__^
I'm just a true fan of vanquishing evil, not making friends with it, or "scaring" it away.

Same~! I've always wanted to be a superhero... ::blushes a bit:: Heh... is that odd? ^_^;

Color me crazy, but can you guess what I'm thinking of what Philip might like to use against a dragon like that? Too bad the fairies don't have access to Gears of War's 'Hammer of Dawn,' because I would just _love_ to see Maleficient buy it from a bolt of bright white holy death caused by a satellite magnifying rays from the sun. And the look on her face if she looks up and sees it coming would be priceless.

XD
That's great.

However, they're only good fairies, I don't think they're capable of that. >_<
